Clinical Care

Individualized Clinical Support. Integrated Into Real Life.

Clinical Support

Young adults often arrive at Bodhi Casa with histories that extend beyond substance use alone. Anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, family dynamics, executive-functioning challenges, and previous treatment experiences may all be part of the larger picture.

Bodhi Casa provides the structured living environment, community, accountability, and real-world experiences that support recovery and increasing independence.

For residents who need clinical care, comprehensive outpatient services are available through Bodhi Wellness Collective, a separate clinical practice, or through a resident’s existing or outside providers.

Care Built Around the Individual

There is no single clinical approach that is right for every person

Through Bodhi Wellness Collective, residents can access licensed clinicians and psychiatric providers based on their history, current needs, personality, and therapeutic goals. Clinical care can evolve as greater stability is established and new needs emerge.

Residents may also continue working with established outside therapists, psychiatrists, or other treatment professionals when appropriate.

Clinical services available through Bodhi Wellness Collective may include:

  • Individual Psychotherapy

One-on-one therapeutic work tailored to the individual’s history, needs, strengths, and goals.

  • Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management when clinically appropriate.

  • Psychological & Neuropsychological Assessment

Comprehensive assessment and diagnostic clarification when a deeper understanding of cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or executive-functioning concerns may be helpful.

  • Trauma-Focused Care

Specialized therapeutic approaches for individuals whose histories include trauma, attachment disruption, or other difficult life experiences.

  • Family Therapy & Family Systems Work

Clinical support addressing communication, relationships, boundaries, family patterns, and the ways family systems can influence recovery.

  • Co-Occurring Mental Health Support

Clinical care for individuals navigating substance use alongside mental health or psychiatric concerns.

Understanding the Whole Person

Recovery rarely exists in isolation.

Substance use can intersect with mental health, trauma, attention and executive functioning, relationships, identity, family dynamics, and the transition into adulthood. In some cases, a young adult may arrive after multiple treatment experiences, diagnoses, medications, or approaches that have produced an incomplete or changing clinical picture.

Access to thoughtful assessment and experienced clinicians can help bring greater clarity to that picture.

Depending upon individual needs, Bodhi Wellness Collective clinicians may work with concerns involving:

  • Substance use and addictive behaviors
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • ADHD and executive-functioning challenges
  • Bipolar and other mood disorders
  • OCD
  • Psychosis and thought disorders
  • Relational and attachment difficulties
  • Grief, loss, and major life transitions
  • Co-occurring substance-use and mental-health concerns

Clinical appropriateness is considered individually. When someone requires services or a level of care beyond what is appropriate for the Bodhi Casa environment, families and professionals can be supported in identifying appropriate outside resources.

Evidence-Based, Relationship-Driven Therapy

The right approach for the right person

Effective therapy depends not only on methodology, but also on the relationship between clinician and client.

Clinicians through Bodhi Wellness Collective draw from established, evidence-based therapeutic approaches according to each individual’s needs and clinical presentation. Approaches may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • EMDR and trauma-focused approaches
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Somatic approaches
  • Mindfulness-based interventions
  • Motivational and recovery-oriented approaches

Rather than applying a single methodology to every client, clinical work can be individualized and evolve over time.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Thoughtful psychiatric support

For residents who benefit from psychiatric care, services through Bodhi Wellness Collective may include comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management.

Medication is considered within the broader context of the individual’s mental health, therapeutic work, recovery, functioning, and overall well-being.

Psychological Assessment & Diagnostic Clarification

Greater clarity can change the direction of care

For some young adults, the question is not simply what support they need, but whether the clinical picture has been fully understood.

Psychological and neuropsychological assessment through Bodhi Wellness Collective can help clarify questions involving diagnosis, attention, executive functioning, personality, mood, cognition, and other psychological concerns.

This can be particularly valuable for individuals who have accumulated multiple diagnoses, medications, or treatment experiences over time. More comprehensive assessment can provide useful information to the individual, family, and treating professionals and help inform future clinical decisions.

Family Support

The family is part of the process

Young adulthood creates a complicated shift for families. Parents are often learning how to remain supportive while establishing healthier boundaries, reducing unproductive patterns, and allowing their son to develop greater independence and responsibility.

Bodhi Casa places significant emphasis on family involvement and communication.

When clinical family work is appropriate, family therapy and family-systems services are available separately through Bodhi Wellness Collective. Bodhi Casa also provides parent support and guidance focused on navigating the practical realities of recovery, accountability, boundaries, and the transition toward greater independence.

This combination allows the resident and family system to grow alongside one another.
